Over the summer, Joslyn, a 1st grade student, had a lemonade stand to raise money to buy treats and toys for our school’s therapy dog, Gibbs! Today, she and her family presented Gibbs with their wonderful gifts! As you can see, Gibbs really appreciated all the goodies! We love seeing students showing good citizenship and kindness inside and outside the classroom!

Mrs. Max's 1st-grade students read the nursery rhyme, "1,2, Buckle My Shoe." The students talked about action words and had the opportunity to draw out their own actions. They then had their classmates follow along with their poems as they recited the poem in the same format as the original! We love seeing students use a variety of learning styles to make connections!

3rd grade students have been learning about our brain and how it works. OHS Science teacher, Mrs. Jones, was kind enough to send some brain models to Prairie View. Students loved being able to experience their learning in a hands-on way!
