STUDENT LUNCH ACCOUNTS
We would like to share important information regarding student meal account balances
and purchasing guidelines. Please note that students are not allowed to purchase à la carte items or additional
servings (“seconds”) if their meal account has a negative balance — regardless of how
small the negative amount may be.
Once a meal account reaches a negative balance of $25, a block will be placed on the
account. This block can only be removed by a parent or guardian through the parent
portal or by contacting the Superintendent’s Office to request its removal.
When an account is blocked, the student is not permitted to purchase any à la carte
items, extras, or seconds — even if funds are later added and the account shows a
positive balance — until the block is officially removed.
However, please be assured that all students will continue to receive a standard meal,
regardless of a negative meal account balance.
Additionally, if a student has a negative balance and has already received a breakfast,
they will not be allowed to purchase a “second chance” breakfast.
BREAKFAST EXAMPLES:
Ex #1 - graham, yogurt, juice or milk.
Ex #2 - muffin, cheesestick, juice or milk
Ex #3 - hot item, fruit, juice or milk
Ex #4 - uncrustable, fruit, juice or milk
Ex #5 - poptarts, fruit, juice or milk
