On April 15th, Ms. Coggins and the Prairie View Elementary Ambassadors were invited to present their Philanthropy Project, The Welcome Bag, to the Nebraska Community Foundation The Foundation was hosting a luncheon for the Urban/Rural Connection tour. The Ambassadors represented Prairie View School and the community of Ogallala beautifully. It was a wonderful and memorable experience for our students! #CultureOfConfidence

The Ogallala boys golf team defended their title at the blustery Gothenburg Invitational at Wild Horse! The team fired a 350 in challenging conditions to win by 3 strokes! Individually Luke Hiltibrand placed 4th with an 85, Caleb Castillo 5th with an 85, Colton Knispel 9th with an 87, Rylan Gilmore 93, and Oliver Nielsen 101. A great team effort! Next up: Varsity travels to Scottsbluff on Monday #CultureOfConfidence

Yesterday was a beautiful day for tennis as the lady Indians traveled to North Platte for a triangular with Gothenburg and NP. The varsity beat Gothenburg 6-3 and lost to North Platte 2-7. The JV had many wins and gained more experience! Way to go ladies. We even got to take a photo with OPS 3rd graders! Come to the courts today to watch our JV as we host a tournament starting at 9:00!

English Language Learners enjoyed making cascarones which are traditionally made around Easter time. Students filled colored eggshells with confetti and candy and then sealed the egg with tissue paper. It is tradition to crack the egg over someone’s head to give them good luck.
