Mike McCormick began his custodial career at Prairie View Elementary working part time. Eventually Mike was transferred to the Middle School for a full time position. During the consolidation of schools Mr. McCormick was asked to move to the high school where he has been for the past 4 years. Mike was identified as a positive role model for students due to his pleasant demeanor and positive attitude. "Not only does he do his job effectively and efficiently but always with a smile on his face.", commented one nominator. Mike enjoys being involved with school activities and encouraging the students and staff at every opportunity. He can often be seen peaking into the gym checking on the success or outcome of the students activities. Mr. McCormick takes great pride in his work and genuinely enjoys supporting the students and their endeavors. Congratulations to Mike McCormick for being selected as the Staff member of the year for the 2016-17 school year.
