6016 Homebound Instruction

The school district may provide a student with instruction in his or her home and under parental supervision if the student is physically or mentally ill or injured and unable to attend regular classes for an extended period of time. Homebound instruction may be provided when the student’s physical and mental condition are such that the student can benefit from instruction and no other provision will meet the student’s educational needs. The superintendent or his/her designee will determine when homebound instruction is appropriate, after conferring with the student’s parents, teacher(s) and/or physician.
