OPSD School Psychologist



  • School psychologists assist schools in carrying out their responsibility to appropriately serve children with learning or other disabilities.
  • School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally.
  • School psychologists collaborate with educators, parents and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students.

  • Functional behavior assessments
  • Consult with teachers and give instructional recommendations
  • 504 plans
  • Knowledge of different assessments
  • Collaborate with outside agencies
  • Interpret data


  • Behavior plans (classwide or individual)
  • Participate/collaborate with school-based RTI teams
  • Research requested topics and share information
  • Time on tasks for any student
  • Facilitate MDT meetings
  • Administer assessments
