The girls battled hard against Lexington. They played aggressive, took some chances, won some and lost some.  They tried to really move the ball around more today and keep their opponents on the defensive. There were some matches where our girls were down, but fought hard and came back to take the match. Lex is a fairly tough team, and our girls did themselves proud.

The varsity girls kept the momentum going and pretty much handled North Platte.  They served well, moved the ball around and played smart. We had some long rallies where our girls stayed patient, kept the ball in play and let their opponents make the mistakes.

The JVs played well all day.  These JV matches are so invaluable for them. They get to see different competition and get a taste of what it is like to play 4 or 5 matches a day.  It is good to let them get a feel for what it will be like when they move up to the varsity level.  Each time they step on the court, they just get better. Not only do their skills improve, but they gain more knowledge about strategy and learn to read their opponents. The JV team only lost 6 matches out of the 32 they played today.  Both Coach Mestl and I are super proud of how they played and represented themselves today.
