def by Laikyn Smith, Kearney, 3-6

def Alexis Henry, Hastings, 6-2

Halle did a good job for the 1st time playing at the #1 singles position.   She had good ball movement and placement, which helped to take her opponents out of their game plan.  She struggled a bit with serving, but played hard and had a good showing.

#2 Singles:  Maddie Ketcham: 2-3;  8th Place

def by Jenna Hoover, North Platte,  2-6

def by Reagan Duncan, Kearney,  2-6

def by Caitlyn Demoss, Kearney,  2-6

def Morgan Baker, North Platte,  6-0

def by Kaylen Streeter, North Platte,  4-6

Maddie started a little hesitant in her first two matches, but gained confidence with her ground strokes and serving in the last two matches in pool play.  She had many good rallies and moved the ball around well. She has progressed very nicely this season.

#1 Doubles:  Morgan Gager and Payton Stewart; 4-1;  2nd Place

def Katie Wagner and Aniston Manzano, North Platte,  6-1

def Tori Rojas and Madison Krause, Kearney,  6-2

def Nana Tenkorang and Brittany Zimmerman,  6-2

def Amber Tidyman and Madison Cooper, North Platte,  6-0

def by Kori Uerling and Delaney Jumps, McCook,  5-7

Morgan and Payton had a great day. They were very aggressive at the net and served well.  They communicated on the court much better today. Second place out of 10 teams shows their high level of play today. Coach Mestl and I are really proud of them.

#2 Doubles:  Keyana Hastings and Maddie Ostrander: 4-1;  3rd Place

def Aubrey Kearney and Emily Hendren, North Platte,  6-0

def by Nicole Elstermeier and Jessica Kolbo, Kearney,  2-6

def Pammela Derio and Maria Rodriguez, North Platte,  6-1

def Cassidy Ratliff and Josie Preece, North Platte,  7-5

def Morgan Long and Erin Hunt, Hastings,  6-2

Keyana and Maddie did very well today, especially since it was their first time playing as a doubles team.  They struggled a bit serving, but compensated with aggressive net play and good shot placement. Taking third place is a testament to their competitiveness and desire to win.
