Great day for tennis. Good to get the first meet under our belt. It’s good to play some other

competition than just ourselves in practice. Kacey and Kira started their first match a little tight.

But as the day went on, they started to communicate and swing the racquet much better. They

both had a good day serving.

Maddie H. and Annie played well today, especially for not being a “true” doubles team (not playing

together much). Both girls were aggressive at the net and Maddie served very well. Both of these

aspects helped them score points.

Lily and Halle had a really good day considering this was the first time they have played together.

They communicated with each other and moved well. They served well and were consistent with

their ground strokes.

Payton and Maddie O. had a great day. This was Maddie’s first varsity experience and only

Payton’s second. Both Coach Mestl and I were impressed with their level of hussle and net play.

Today was a great start and we are anxious to see how the rest of the season progresses.
