Engines
- Google- Excellent search
engine with lots of features.
- AltaVista - Ask a question or submit a phrase.
Use "quotation marks," (no quotations, no
marks, just quotation AND marks together), along with the
other "Seven Steps toward Better
Searches."
- Dogpile - Use this meta-search engine to
search several search engines at once. Type in your words
or phrases, using quotation marks if necesssary.
- Yahoo - Search for general information about
topics. This search engine provides one of the best ways
to look for topics by category. (Health, History, US
States, etc...)
- Yahooligans - Easy search engine for kids...which means
lot of web site you can put to good use in your classes.
