  • Provides instructional modifications and accommodations to the general education teacher to assure success for the student in the classroom setting.
  • Modifies the general education program for special needs like daily assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Evaluates and documents student’s progress in the classroom and resource room setting.
  • Delivers direct instruction in the basic skills like reading & math with individuals or in small groups to meet the student’s needs.
  • Coordinates resource support in the classroom to give instructional support to complete grade level assignments.
  • Locates and provides resources for general education teachers based on the student’s needs.
  • Develops the Individual Educational Plan (IEP).  Information is gathered from assessment results, the general educational teacher, parent, and other professionals on the team.
  • Coordinates and administers assessments to determine if the student verifies or re-verifies for special education services.
